Training Programs
Looking to get involved with the research and science of immunoengineering? Look no further. Our laboratories recruit talent through various PhD programs and also attract some of the brightest postdocs across disciplines. New in 2021, we are happy to offer a new postdoctoral training program with generous support from the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Immunoengineering Postdoctoral T32
The Immunoengineering Postdoctoral Training (ImEPosT) Program is an NIAID-funded institutional NRSA program that supports two-year training in the field. Selected engineers and immunologists will receive funding to cover their stipends and allow them to engage in short courses in each others' fields. In addition, training in scientific communications, teaching, and grant writing will empower you to become tomorrow's principal investigators.
Applications will open each year in the early summer. Applicants must be in training at UChicago and per NRSA guidelines, must be US citizens or permanent residents by the start of their appointments as ImEPosT fellows.

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
All researchers at UChicago are required to complete training in the responsible conduct of research. This is generally provided in the form of discussions/seminars. The current NIH policy requires 8 contact hours of RCR training/every 4 years.
Graduate students would generally register for MENG 40000 (PME students; First year) or BSDG 55000 (BSD students; Spring quarters). For all other researchers, the following programs are also available.
